Manchester City intend to add USA goalkeeper Zak Steffen to their squad next season.

Steffen has spent this term on-loan with Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he impressed in a struggling team over the first-half of the campaign.

He has been spending time back at City since January due to a knee injury.

The Manchester Evening News says City want Steffen to do a full preseason with them before making a decision about whether to loan him out again.

However, with Claudio Bravo departing, there's an expectation Steffen will be added to the first team squad.
