Man City scouts amazed by QPR superkid Sterling

Manchester City have joined the race for QPR superkid Raheem Sterlng.

The People says City were impressed by Sterling, 14, when he made his international debut last week and are set to match QPR's £1m-plus asking price.

He was sensational for England Under-16s, turning the game against Northern Ireland in the Victory Shield when he set up both goals in a 2-0 win.

City talent-spotters Brian Marwood and Brian Kidd watched in amazement and started work on teeing-up the deal after the match.

Sterling looks unlikely to sign a contract being offered by QPR, and we can reveal Arsenal have also made an approach and would pay £500,000. Manchester United and Liverpool are both interested.
