Manchester City scout Attilio Lombardo has played down the prospect of landing Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.

City are competing with Juventus for the Bosnia international and Lombardo feels the chase will go the same way as Milos Krasic's transfer.

"We wanted Krasic and Dzeko, we have already given up because it looks like he will end up in the black and white," said Lombardo.
