Manchester City's overall performance has not been up to scratch according to Gael Clichy.
The French left-back could offer no excuses as to why the reigning Premier League champions had struggled recently but knows that the standards set at City mean they have to bounce back with a much-improved campaign in 2015/16.
"The bottom line is if you play for a club like City and have the season we've had it's not good enough," said Clichy.
"To lose six of eight games recently is just not good enough. That said, we want to finish strongly because that in turn can be the springboard for next season.
"We can still finish second if we win all our remaining games and that's what we are going to try and do as a team."
