The French midfielder suffered a knee problem on January 12 which was expected to see him sidelined for up to eight weeks but it is believed that he is close to a comeback ahead of the Round of 16 home clash with the Catalan giants on February 18.
"We will see in the next few days, up until Saturday. I think there is a chance," said City boss Manuel Pellegrini when asked if Nasri could get up for then Barcelona fixture.
