Man City's Nasri could be back for Barcelona clash

Samir Nasri is recovering well from a knee injury and could return for Manchester City's Champions League meeting with Barcelona next week.

The French midfielder suffered a knee problem on January 12 which was expected to see him sidelined for up to eight weeks but it is believed that he is close to a comeback ahead of the Round of 16 home clash with the Catalan giants on February 18.

"We will see in the next few days, up until Saturday. I think there is a chance," said City boss Manuel Pellegrini when asked if Nasri could get up for then Barcelona fixture.

Nasri completed a full training session on Tuesday and posted on Twitter that he was thrilled to be back with the first team.
