Manchester City have jumped into the battle for wantway Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Spain international will be allowed to leave by Bayern once their Champions League campaign concludes, with the Premier League his favoured destination.
Thiago is keen on joining Liverpool, where he's spoken to manager Jurgen Klopp about a move to Anfield.
However, BILD says City are also planning a bid for the 29 year-old midfielder, where he would be reunited with his former Bayern and Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola sees Thiago as an ideal replacement for David Silva, who is set to depart for Lazio next month.
