Manchester City are maintaining interest in River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
The 21 year-old is expected to leave for Europe this summer.
Fernandez has been linked with a raft of clubs across Europe, though City are making their play this month.
Argentine journalist Sergio González reports City have contacted the 21-year-old's representatives.
The midfielder has a contract with River Plate to 2025. Fernández has scored four goals in 34 games for the Argentine club.
City signed and loaned back River Plate striker Julian Álvarez in January.
