Manchester City have revitalised their pursuit of Everton's John Stones by preparing a fresh £50million bid.
The Daily Express is reporting that City, who have been keen on the defender all along, are determined to secure his signature before the close of the summer transfer window.
With news that Nicolas Otamendi has joined captain Vincent Kompany in the treatment room, manager Pep Guardiola is eager to lure the ball-playing quality of Stones to the Etihad Stadium.
The jury is still out on Eliaquim Mangala which has kept Guardiola in pursuit of Stones, 22, but as of yet there has been no agreement on a fee.
City had previously offered £40m, which is short of Everton's valuation, while their attempts to throw striker Wilfried Bony into the deal fell on deaf ears.
A renewed big-money cash bid plus playmaker Samir Nasri is the latest proposal to be reported as City continue their everlasting chase for England international Stones.
