Man City ready to offer Phil Foden new contract

Manchester City are ready to offer Phil Foden a new contract.

The Mirror says Foden is set to pen a bumper new six-year deal at the Etihad.

Foden, 18, has made six substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this term and came on as a late replacement for David Silva in the victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

His current deal expires at the end of next season but City are set to move to tie the starlet down to fresh terms.

Foden has attracted interest from across Europe but he is expected to put pen to paper at the Etihad before the end of this month.

And his new deal will be a significant hike on his current £15,000-a-week wages.
