Manchester City are furious after being snubbed by Napoli midfielder Jorginho for Chelsea.
The Mirror says the Premier League champions believed they had agreed an outline £48.7million deal to sign the Brazil-born player over a fortnight ago.
But now Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has thrown a spanner in the works by claiming Jorginho is instead joining Chelsea.
City believe the player is being used as a pawn in Chelsea and Napoli's protracted negotiations over boss Maurizio Sarri.
Pep Guardiola is yet hear from Jorginho himself over whether he is definitely moving to Stamford Bridge.
