Manchester City are prepared to hold Leroy Sane to his contract.
The London Evening Standard says City have told Bayern Munich to forget about a cut-price move for Sane.
Pep Guardiola is resigned to losing the Germany winger, but with Bayern so far only prepared to pay in the region of £30million to prise him away from the Etihad, City are ready to make the 24-year-old sit out the final year of his contract.
It means Bayern will have to come up with a significantly better offer – even if there is an acceptance that the £140m City were demanding last summer is highly unlikely to be met following the financial impact of coronavirus.
