Man City prepare offer for Swansea powerhouse Bony

Manchester City are eyeing Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony. Bony struck for Swansea in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

The Daily Star Sunday says the striker, 25, is due to join up with City's Yaya Toure for Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations in January but he is still eligible to play in the Champions League should City progress.

Bony came close to joining Liverpool last summer only for Brendan Rodgers to baulk at his wage demands and instead move for Loic Remy then Mario Balotelli.

Swansea have agreed a new contract with the man they signed for £12million from Vitesse in 2013.
