Manchester City are ready to challenge Manchester United for PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay.

The young Holland international is expected to leave PSV this summer for a bigger league, with United boss Louis van Gaal chasing his signature.

However, City are also keen and had scouts posted to see Depay in action against Feyenoord on the weekend.

City sent three reps, who were making a check on PSV fullback Jetro Willems, but also were running the rule over Depay.

Depay, despite playing in PSV's midfield, leads the Eredivisie scoring charts.
