Manchester City players want a change of captain, it has been revealed.
The Telegraph says City players want Carlos Tevez axed in favour of Vincent Kompany.
The City captain has done little to improve his relationship with the Eastlands hierarchy and supporters in recent days by criticising senior figures at the club and insisting he will ''never return to Manchester'' once he finally leaves the city.
Senior players are also understood to want Vincent Kompany as captain on a permanent basis.
