Man City plan special testimonial for David Silva

Manchester City are set to hand David Silva a testimonial.

The Sun says he is set to get a testimonial next year to mark a decade of service at Manchester City.

Yet it is likely to be the Spanish star's swansong at the Etihad before he fulfils his dream of ending his career at local club Las Palmas.

Silva, 33, signed for £26million from Valencia in 2010 and went on to become one of the greatest players to ever pull on a sky blue shirt.

The midfielder, who is in the final year of his deal, has won four Prem titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups at the club.

Silva began his youth career on the island of San Fernando, a province of Las Palmas, and has always insisted he wanted to end his playing days back with the club.
