Manchester City have been rocked with the news that two players are positive for COVID-19.
The Citizens are preparing for the Premier League's start on September 12, even though their first game is not until a week later.
They could be without Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte for a game, with the two testing positive for the coronavirus.
Neither player can train with the team, as they must self isolate per UK government and Premier League guidelines.
A club statement read: "Manchester City FC can confirm that Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte have tested positive for Covid-19.
"Both players are currently observing a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.
"Neither is displaying symptoms of the virus.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Riyad and Aymeric a speedy recovery ahead of their return to training and the new season."
