Manchester City owners City Football Group (CFG) are in talks to buy a stake in Spartak Moscow.
Baza on Telegram reports CFG have opened negotiations about taking a 20 per cent stake in Spartak.
Sport-Express, meanwhile, reports four CFG officials attended Spartak's recent match with FC Rostov. While no offer was made, the CFG group toured the club's facilities.
It's also suggested rather than 20 per cent, the initial CFG offer will be for 3-5 per cent of the club.
CFG have already held talks FC Ufa about buying into the club, though negotiations fizzled out.
