Manchester City are ready to close the signing of released Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

Ortega has come off contract at Arminia Bielefeld and is set to join City as a free agent.

City are offering a three-year contract and Ortega is ready to put pen to paper.

He will arrive as a replacement for Zack Steffen, who will leave on-loan in the coming days.

The USA international is due to sign for Middelsbrough in the Championship.
