Aymeric Laporte says Manchester City have to "look after" their young star Leroy Sane.

The 22-year-old came on as a substitute and scored a stunning free-kick in last night's 3-2 win over his former club Schalke in the Champions League last-16 first leg.

"Leroy always is a very good player and we know what he can do," French centre-half Laporte told City's official websiteafter a thrilling European fixture.

"I think he's a great talent, young and we have to take care of him because he's so good and can give us so much this year."
