Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says the club will closely monitor Fernandinho and David Silva in the next few days.

The midfield pair had to be subbed out during City's 5-2 triumph over CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night and will now be assessed ahead of Sunday's trip to Sunderland.

"David Silva and Fernandinho both had to be substituted. They have small problems, so we'll see tomorrow with the doctor," Pellegrini told Sky Sports after the win.
