Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho admits there's a precision demanded in the play of manager Pep Guardiola.

He likens the Catalan's coaching education to be being a parent.

"The synchronisation has to be precise. Everyone knows their role and what they have to do on the pitch," explains Fernandinho.

"Some players didn't understand what he wanted in that first year, everyone was learning. Now, it only takes a gesture from him. It has become easier.

"When you are a father talking to your son or daughter for the first time, they don't understand you. You have patience because you are a father and keep talking to them and eventually they do understand.

"Then, when they understand, they are no longer babies. They are growing up."
