Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong says Holland's new pragmatic style of football is down to the influence of the Premiership.
Holland are one of only two sides, along with Argentina, to have won all three matches so far and they face Slovakia in a last-16 tie on Monday.
"Our football culture is unique as we want perfection, results and good football," said the Manchester City midfielder. "But I've been playing abroad now for six years and I've come to appreciate the other cultures as well, like winning with bad play.
"In England, winning is everything, it doesn't matter how - and we need to accept that."
