Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva admits the day will come when Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the Portuguese national team.

Bernardo concedes the Juventus star is "irreplaceable".

He told Esporte Interativo: "One day Cristiano will be retiring, it will be a sad day, I don't even need to explain why.

"He is an impossible player to replace.

"Portugal has a very strong generation, it is a generation that has everything to continue well. He is irreplaceable, but we will move on after that."
