Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva hopes to maintain his 100 per cent home record against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Reds have lost their last three Premier League visits to the Etihad Stadium.
Bernardo told his club's website: “We expect a very tough match against Liverpool, we know how strong and solid they are, one of the best teams in the world.
“They are also a direct rival for the Premier League's title, so we know how difficult it will be, but like in every game our aim is to win.
“We are also playing at home, which should have a positive influence.
“We need these three points in order to pursue our place at the top of the table.
“The truth is that our last encounters with Liverpool at the Etihad were positive for us."
