Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kevin De Bruyne's injury is not as bad as first feared.
The Belgian injured his ankle in the FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea, which caused him to miss Wednesday's win over Aston Villa.
Guardiola said it was possible De Bruyne would be fit for Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Aston Villa, but he would have to be assessed at training on Thursday.
"It was less than we expected and yesterday he felt much better," said Guardiola at his post-match press conference.
"Today I don't know because I didn't speak with him, but we will see tomorrow's training.
"I think if it's not really for this final hopefully, maybe he will be ready for the semi-finals of the Champions League"
