Pep Guardiola reserved praise for several of his players after their UEFA Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb.

City went 1-0 down in the game, but came back to claim a resounding 4-1 success behind a Gabriel Jesus attack.

Among the players who got praise from Guardiola was Benjamin Mendy, who has impressed at left back in the past few weeks.

"Mendy played best game of the season," he told the club website.

"It is normal for a long time not playing.

"He has incredible physicality when he is fit when his mind is in the right position.

"He's in an extraordinary player. Now, they have to fight between them - each other - and we will decide who plays at left-back."
