Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Gabriel Jesus is ready to deputise for Sergio Aguero.

The Brazilian will start in place of the injured Aguero in Wednesday night's clash with Cardiff City.

Guardiola said: "Of course. He makes a good season. Always it is not easy to play in this club, a striker in the same position as Sergio.

"This season is the best Gabriel has played together with Sergio. He is a respectful guy. Tomorrow he is going to help us, to fight and score goals."
