Man City manager Guardiola admits 'pleasure' facing Solskjaer at Man Utd

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised departed Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils and Solskjaer parted ways on Sunday, with the club reacting after a miserable 4-1 loss to Watford in the Premier League a day earlier.

Solskjaer gave an interview with MUTV explaining his reasoning for walking away from the job.

Guardiola spoke about the matter after his side's 3-0 win over Everton in the league.

Asked by a reporter about the situation, Guardiola explained: "I wish him all the best. It was a pleasure to face him. He beat us more than I wanted."

He added: "He knows that when you are in charge of a team like United you have to win, otherwise you are in trouble.

"I am still sitting here because we won. Otherwise it would be another person sitting here."
