Manchester City plan to add Zak Steffen to the squad next season.

The USA international spent this past term on-loan with Fortuna Dusseldorf, though injury forced the arrangement to end early.

However, Steffen has done enough to convince City to add him to the squad for next season, reports ESPN.

Steffen will replace Claudio Bravo as prime cover for Ederson. Bravo will leave City when his contract expires at the end of this season.

A sale or even a further loan has now been ruled out for Steffen.
