Manchester City have made a move for Tottenham winger David Bentley.
The Mirror says Eastlands boss Mark Hughes, who managed Bentley at Blackburn, is keen to add the former England midfielder to his squad. Bentley joined Spurs for £16million a year ago.
The 24-year-old has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, Everton and Atletico Madrid but none of them have the financial clout of City when it comes to meeting Tottenham's £12m asking price.
