Manchester City are closing in on AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi.Roma coach Zdenek Zeman has given the green light to De Ross's sale after admitting he can't find room for the Italy ace in his team.

It is reported that he recently flew to London to meet representatives from City, who have held a long-standing interest De Rossi.

But the 29-year-old is also thought to have sounded out free-spending Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain. The French club are ready to make a move in January.
