Manchester City has become the first club to sign up to distribute its editorial content on football media platform Onefootball, reports SportBusiness.
The two organisation's collaborated on a soft launch in 2019, with a longer-term agreement now finalised.
All of Manchester City's news will now be published simultaneously on both the club's official website and the Onefootball platform, which will be connected to the club's content management system.
The venture will allow significant stories such as breaking news and player signings to be sent to the smartphone users of the Onefootball app.
The deal represents the first time original club content has formed a part of Onefootball's content.
Onefootball was formed in 2008 and initially made its name as a provider of football news, data and statistics. It now employs over 200 people at its Berlin headquarters and has moved into live streaming of football matches.
