Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany will get a statue at Etihad stadium.
The Manchester Evening News says City have named a road at their training complex after club legend Kompany and will erect a statue of their former captain outside the Etihad Stadium.
Kompany is back in Manchester for his testimonial game on Wednesday which will raise funds for his homelessness charity Tackle4MCR. While Kompany himself is injured for the game, a team of City legends will take on a group of Premier League All-Stars at the Etihad.
Ahead of the game, City unveiled the 'Vincent Kompany Crescent' at the City Football Academy complex, complete with a mosaic of the Belgian who spent a trophy-filled 11 years at the club.
City also announced plans to commission a statue of Kompany which will stand outside the Etihad Stadium when completed.
