Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany has confirmed he'll take the No4 shirt at Anderlecht.
The new Anderlecht player-manager has also explained why he chose to return to Belgium to kickoff his coaching career.
"Why did I return? The reason is simple. I am a big supporter of the team and it hurt me to see how things went wrong last year. I think I have the right elements to turn the tide. I am also looking forward to it," said Kompany.
"I know that I used to wear 27, but this is a story of the future and I've also had some wonderful moments in my career with my number four.
“How do I want to play with the team? I don't have to make too many drawings for that. I have had the good fortune to work with the best coach in history. Thanks to Pep (Guardiola) I started to view football in a different way. I learned a lot and I want to pass that on."
