Hart returns to Eastlands after a successful two match performance for England.
Taylor, who regularly deputised for David Seaman at Arsenal, told City's website: "Joe's performances for us have been top drawer and he was brilliant for England, so I'm not surprised.
"Sometimes that can put too much pressure on you. But I don't think Joe is one of those who will let that bother him. He's quite a level-headed lad who won't let the pressure get to him.
"He just gets on with it, that's his personality and one of his big attributes - he can just go out on the pitch and perform - he never really feels the pressure.
"He's done unbelievably well. If he carries on progressing like he is, there is every chance he will be England No.1 for a long time to come."
