Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart admits he was a little too cocky on his competitive England debut.
During the trouncing of Bulgaria, Hart admitted to letting his confidence get the better of him with a touch of keepy-uppy - a demonstration for which he was quick to apologise.
"As soon as I did it I knew I would be in trouble," said Hart. "I got lost in the moment. I wish I hadn't done it."
Lesson learned, it would appear - but Hart has proved to England goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence that he has the ability to absorb information and advice.
"He is willing to learn and is just as keen on the training ground and he is on the pitch," said Clemence. "He has come into international football and he has looked comfortable.
"He did what international keepers do - when they are called upon, they make the saves that matter. It is as if he is saying, 'I can cope with this, I'll deal with it'. He influenced the game with his saves and that is what top international keepers do."
