Man City keeper Given likely to remain

Manchester City's Shay Given has given the clearest indication yet that he will remain with the club.

The Republic of Ireland international's future at Eastlands has been clouded ever since manager Roberto Mancini installed Joe Hart as number one but he has confirmed that he is likely to see out the remaining two years on his contract.

"I'm concentrating on Saturday then we'll see what happens after that," he said ahead of this weekend's Euro2012 qualifier in Macedonia with RoI.

"I've got two years left and the club haven't told me any different so we'll see what the deal is when I go back for pre-season."

And the 35-year old gloveman admitted that it was great to be a part of a winning FA Cup squad, especially as it helped break a long drought for the club.

"It was great to win the FA Cup. The fans deserved it, it's been 35 years - I wasn't even born the last time they won a trophy," he added.

"The players that played worked really hard all season and they deserved it too so it was fantastic."
