Man City keeper Ederson set for massive contract offer

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is set for a bumper pay-rise.

The Sun says there were huge question marks over the 24-year-old's £34m world record fee at the time.

But he has answered his critics, with City now on the brink of clinching their third Premier League title.

And Etihad chiefs want to reward him with fresh terms, upping his lowly £70,000-a-week wages.

He is contracted until 2022, but Pep Guardiola believes he can be City's number one for nearly the next decade.

An Etihad source said: “The club is already looking at giving Ederson a new deal at the club.

“He was an expensive purchase but has been worth every penny. He has delighted Pep how quickly he's settled in.

“There is not a rush on him but the club will make sure he is looked after in the long-term."
