Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is relieved the injury suffered by Eric Garcia during victory against Arsenal was not as serious as first feared.
Garcia was stretchered off after a 10-minute delay for treatment following a worrying accidental collision with the City goalkeeper.
But the Spaniard was quickly released from hospital after precautionary tests.
Garcia will continue to be monitored in the coming days ahead of a return to training and competitive action.
“I spoke to him and apologised to him for the moment. It didn't go the way I wanted, obviously," Ederson reflected to City's website.
“I didn't want to clash with him. Unfortunately, it happened.
“Thank God, it was only a shock, nothing serious.
“He was here (at the CFA) the day after, he was fine. He didn't have trauma, only a cut."
