Manchester City are interested in Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

Don Balon says Soler's progress this season has caught the eye of City boss Pep Guardiola, who has recommended his signing to the club's board.

Guardiola believes Soler would settle seamlessly into his first team and wants the youngster signed.

Valencia rate the youngster in the €60m class and are reluctant to lose the midfielder, who has played a key role in their revival under coach Marcelino.
