Man City in pole position if Borussia Dortmund star Haaland wants England move

Manchester City are in pole position to sign Erling Haaland in the summer.

The Borussia Dortmund striker is one of the most sought after players in world football.

It is in the summer when Haaland's £64m release clause becomes active.

This relatively small fee for such an enormous talent has Europe's top clubs clamouring for Haaland's signature.

Sky Sports says City are the frontrunners to acquire the 21-year-old.

That is if the Norway international decides on a move to the Premier League.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are also considered leading contenders for Haaland.

City boss Pep Guardiola has been looking for a striker since Sergio Aguero's departure last summer.

Asked about Haaland in December, the Catalan replied: "Next question - don't ask me about that. I won't answer."

Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus and Liverpool have all been linked with Haaland.
