Manchester City are closing in on the signature of 17-year-old Dario Ariel Sarmiento from Estudiantes.

The teenager is one of the most promising talents from the region, and it appears City have pulled ahead in the race for his signature.

According to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, City are set to sign the teenager for £17 million.

The deal would be complete in the summer of 2021, if it goes through.

Sarmiento is a right winger who has played five times in the Superliga in the 2019/2020 season, along with appearances in the Copa Argentina.
