Manchester City hero Shaun Goater is adamant Ferran Torres can play as a No9 this season.
Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden all had a go through the last campaign as the 'false-nine' became Pep Guardiola's go-to.
And having missed out on Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo, while title rivals Chelsea splashed £97.5million on Romelu Lukaku, it's set to be more of the same as City look to defend their Premier League title.
Goater told The Sun: “I really like the look of Torres. He will challenge for top goalscorer at City this season.
“When I watch him, I think: 'Is this guy really a wide player?'
“His decision making, runs, movement and finishing… he looks like a centre-forward to me.
“He's a real threat. He doesn't need three or four opportunities to work the goalkeeper.
“You give him two, he works the keeper and one of them almost always goes in."
