Paul Dickov's presence at Oldham Athletic has boosted season ticket sales.
The Daily Mail says by early June just 14 season tickets had been sold for this campaign - that was before ex-Manchester City striker Dickov had been named new manager.
Now season-ticket sales have climbed to 1,800. For Saturday's first-day trip to Tranmere Rovers, the untried Dickov's first game in charge, Oldham expect to take 2,000 fans to Birkenhead.
It is proof that a little whirlwind has already blown around those turnstiles.
As Dickov said: "The biggest thing I want is to get a feelgood factor around the place because there was a lot of doom and gloom. A lot of fans' enthusiasm had gone and no matter how successful or not I am here, they're the ones who are here all the time.
"That's been a big thing: trying to get a community atmosphere. I always remember Oldham as being a hard place to come to, but also a family club. I want to try to get that back."
