Manchester City chiefs have a Plan B if they cannot agree terms for Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez.
City have taken the stance that they won't pay over the odds for any transfer target.
The Manchester Evening News says City could target Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha or Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey if they can't reach an agreement with Leicester for Mahrez's transfer.
Kylian Mbappe is also being watched but City will only move for the French teenager if they are given encouragement to do so.
For the moment, Leicester are pushing for £70m to sell Mahrez.
