Manchester City are becoming increasingly concerned over Jack Rodwell's hamstring injury
The Daily Mail says Rodwell has suffered eight hamstring injuries since the start of last season, and has not played for City in three months after limping out of an England Under 21 game against Serbia in October.
It has limited the 21-year-old midfielder to two starts and four substitute appearances for Roberto Mancini's side after his summer transfer from Everton, who had previously sent him to see renowned Munich doctor Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt in April after the problem ruled him out of contention for Euro 2012.
Rodwell is back in training, but up to three weeks away from a first-team return, and Mancini is concerned the recurring issue could blight a promising career.
"I'm worried because when we bought him we thought he was a good player and then he has these problems with his hamstrings," said the City boss. "We hope we can improve this situation for him because he's young, he's got quality and has everything to have a good career."
