Manchester City ace Kevin de Bruyne admits he's not been at his best this season.
De Bruyne struck a wonder goal in victory over Cardiff City last night.
He has conceded that he is not the player of last season after having to fight back from multiple injury setbacks over the past eight months.
"It's been very difficult, I'm not going to compare myself to last season," De Bruyne said after City regained top spot with their 2-0 win.
"My season has been very long, it feels as though I've had double the length of other players. I had to work so hard three, four times to come back.
"I'm probably not going to have the level that I had last year but it's not about me it's about what I can do to help this team win titles in the end and if we can lift a few it doesn't matter how I do.
"I tried to come back and now I am here I can try to reach my best level as quick as possible to help the team win."
