Manchester City are NOT interested in signing Thiago Alcantara and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Reports this week claimed that City has tabled an offer of £57m for Napoli defender Koulibaly, with talks also beginning with Bayern Munich over midfielder Thiago.

But the local outlet the Manchester Evening News has been told by sources that those reports are wide of the mark.

City still view Koulibaly, 28, as a target but have not yet made an offer. Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the Senegal international in the past.

Napoli owner Aurelio di Laurentiis currently values Kouliably at £80m.

In regards to Thiago, City have no interest in the midfielder, seemingly paving the way for liverpool to secure his signature.
