Manchester City have dominated Manchester United to claim a 3-1 in the Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg at Old Trafford.
City were utterly ruthless in the first-half, with Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and own goal from Andreas Pereira giving the visitors a three goal lead at half-time.
Pep Guardiola had obviously worked hard tactically to prevent United from repeating their 2-1 win over City at the Etihad last month.
But the chances of an enormous defeat were quelled in the second-half as United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer switched to a 4-3-3 to subdue Pep Guardiola's rampant side.
The Sky Blues also took their foot off the pedal knowing victory was assured, with Marcus Rashford cashing in with 20 minutes remaining.
Speaking after the game, Bernardo Silva said of the performance: "We could have gone in four or five up at half-time, we had the chances. They pressed us higher in the second half, we got tired but overall we are happy.
"I enjoyed my role - because it worked and we won. Pep wanted one more man in the middle."
