Man City fullback Walker: We face Lyon full of confidence

Manchester City fullback Kyle Walker says they'll face Champions League quarterfinal opponents Lyon full of confidence.

Pep Guardiola's men go into tomorrow's quarter-final against Lyon in Lisbon as red-hot favourites to lift the European crown.

And Walker – whose outstanding performances this season included a stint in goal when Claudio Bravo was sent off against Atalanta – is ready to do whatever it takes to prevail in Portugal.

He said: “Obviously, I have dreams of playing in the Champions League final and lifting the trophy.

“We have an important game against Lyon and it would be disrespectful of me to look past that. We all have a job to do here and Lyon are here by merit and have beaten Juventus.

“It is down to us as players and what happens in both boxes. You make a mistake in a big game like this and you are going to get punished.

“Like we showed against Real Madrid, we can punish any team."
